The last two days I have been in a photography workshop with Photographic Artist and Tutor, Sally Mason who teaches workshops in NZ and overseas. Sally is renowned for her impressionist work, telling a story through photography with images and words to capture emotion. We learnt about Wabi Sabi..- the art of imperfect beauty or should I say finding the beauty in things imperfect.. in nature.... accepting the cycle of life, growth, decay and death. Sally, also a member of the NZ Photographic Society enjoys the delights of creative play and the freedom to express yourself through imagery. Photography is not about just taking photos.. its about "seeing" with your heart and your eyes. We were encouraged to widen our vision and understand ourselves on a deeper level.
